People said I had “aged out” of the dating scene. I was fifty-plus and gray-haired. I had an arthritic hip and a trick leg. My waistline was thickening, and I couldn’t shed the extra pounds. I had a drawer full of reading glasses but couldn’t see well out of any of them. I was told to count my blessings and forget about meeting a good man. I ignored everybody.
Refusing to give up, I developed a plan for finding love. After giving myself a beauty makeover – on the outside as well as within, I stuck to my plan, turned on my computer, and hit the dating sites. I met and married The One in less than two years.
